Tehran’s Modern Architectural Marvel

Standing at a height of 435 meters, the Milad Tower is Iran’s tallest structure and ranks among the world’s highest telecommunication towers. Located between Tehran’s Shahrak-e Gharb and Gisha neighborhoods, this iconic landmark serves as a hub for telecommunications, tourism, and cultural events. Its design seamlessly blends traditional Iranian architectural elements with contemporary aesthetics, symbolized by an octagonal base that reflects Persian architectural heritage.

The tower is composed of the following main sections:

  • Lobby Structure: A six-story base housing 63 commercial units, 11 dining areas, a café, and a commercial product exhibition space.

  • Shaft: A 315-meter concrete structure equipped with six high-speed elevators that transport visitors to the upper floors.

  • Head Structure: A 12-story steel section weighing approximately 25,000 tons, featuring a public art gallery, a revolving restaurant, VIP dining areas, telecommunication facilities, and open and closed observation decks offering panoramic views of Tehran.

  • Antenna Mast: A 120-meter telecommunications mast housing antennas for the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting.

To ensure the highest fire safety standards, advanced passive fire protection systems have been integrated into the tower’s design. Siderise CW-FS Fire Stop and CW-CB Cavity Barrier systems effectively seal gaps between floor slabs and exterior curtain walls, limiting the movement of smoke and fire.

Additionally, Kent’s automatic fire curtains have been installed to control fire spread and maintain compartmentation. These features provide occupants with more time for evacuation and assist firefighters in managing potential fire incidents.
